Becky received her BA in Psychology and Honors Program from University of Wyoming, and her MA in Clinical & Counseling Psychology from Southern Methodist University, and is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor (#66221) in the state of Texas.
Becky received specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Training (CBT), Motivational Interviewing , Marriage & Family Counseling, Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), as well as some Play Therapy training.
In her 10 years experience, she has worked at Parkland Hospital, Plano ISD high school, Dallas Public School Youth & Family Center, SMU, FMC Carswell, the Family Studies Center at UT Southwestern, Ark Regional Services, and the Children’s Advocacy Center. During this time, Becky has had a diverse client population: children ages 5 to adolescents, to adults of every walk of life.
Becky’s passion and area of expertise is helping people during challenging times, specifically in counseling adolescents, adults, couples, and families with a variety of issues. She views life as a continual growing process, and counseling as nurturing the journey.
Outside of counseling, Becky enjoys traveling, reading, singing, photography, swimming & cycling, and spending time with her family.
